How FCA and its contractors put together Detroit's first new assembly plant in 3 decades

The $1.6 billion industrial redevelopment project tied to the creation of 3,850 new jobs is nearing a completion on Detroit's east side — a milestone achievement considering the complicated nature of the project, shortages in key skilled trade workers and the abrupt halting of construction for about six weeks this spring because of the coronavirus pandemic.
