HSA Advocates expands its Regulatory & Policy and Disputes Practice with new additions in the partnership collegium
HSA Advocates (“HSA”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Apoorva Misra as Partner and
Shreshth Sharma and Nitish Gupta as Associate Partners in the Regulatory & Policy and Disputes
practice. While the three partners will be based out of the firm’s New Delhi office, however, their
responsibilities will not be restricted by geography.
Apoorva brings with him over 17 years of experience in Regulatory & Policy, with a focus on regulatory disputes in the power sector, oil & gas projects, mining and environment. He has significant experience in handling disputes across the entire spectrum of regulatory and environmental laws as well as handling transaction and contractual issues with respect to the regulated infrastructure sectors. He has also advised on regulatory compliances required in relation to various Infrastructure projects such as laying of City Gas Distribution Network and establishment of wind power projects in India. Apoorva joins HSA from Sterlite Power Grid Ventures Limited. Prior to that he has worked with J. Sagar Associates and Trilegal.
Shreshth has over 15 years of experience in handling disputes, with a focus on civil and regulatory litigation. He has significant experience in advising on and handling a diverse range of policy, regulatory and contractual disputes. Shreshth has advised on and has managed disputes and matters before diverse forums including Trial & High Courts, the Supreme Court, APTEL, AERA / Appellate Tribunal and Arbitration Tribunals. Shreshth joins HSA from Jindal Steel & Power Ltd., prior to which he has worked with Interglobe Enterprises Ltd. and J. Sagar Associates.
Nitish has over 9 years of experience in regulatory litigation as well as dispute resolution, service laws and public law remedies. He has undertaken litigation concerning a wide range of subjects including Electricity, commercial arbitration, issues pertaining to interpretation of commercial contracts, Intellectual Property Rights, contract and service laws. Nitish regularly appears before diverse Electricity Regulatory Commissions, APTEL, High Courts and the Supreme Court. Nitish joins HSA from DSK Legal.
