Rebel Wilson says Mariah Carey was 'team player' during night out
"We went to a place called the Caribou Club," she told host Ellen DeGeneres. "I felt, like, so cool because I normally don't go out to clubs. I know I look like a partier, but normally it's more bubble baths for me."
Wilson said she and Carey ran into a problem at the door when security asked them to remove their coats before coming inside.
"Mariah's like, 'No, my coat is part of the outfit. No," the star recalled. "I was like, what's going to happen?' It's freezing cold outside the club, so we really wanted to get in."
"At the end of the day, [Mariah] did what is best for the group and we got in. She's a team player," she said. "But she's such an awesome lady. And then inside the club they started playing her songs 'cause she's in there. We were like, 'Yeah!' dancing. So it turned out alright."
Wilson had shared a selfie with Carey and British television presenter Carly Steel at the club in December.
"Ice Queens of Aspen x," she captioned the post.
Sources told People Wilson, Carey and Steel danced on their table when Carey's songs came on at the club.
"Rebel and Mariah got on really well and they were drinking red wine and in deep conversation," an insider added. "They seemed to have a great time."
Wilson will next star in the movie Isn't It Romantic, which opens in theaters Wednesday. She attended the film's Los Angeles premiere Monday, where Miley Cyrus filled in for Liam Hemsworth following his hospitalization.
