T Bailey Fund Services strengthens board with appointment of independent non-executive director

Independent full-service fund administration service provider T Bailey Fund Services (TBFS) has appointed experienced governance professional Anna Troup to its Board of Directors.

With more than 20 years' experience in the asset management sector, Mrs Troup is joining the Nottingham-based business as an independent Non-Executive Director (NED).

Troup previously headed up Legal & General Investment Management’s UK Bespoke Solutions. She also played an integral role at BlueBay AM, building the company’s emerging markets business and launching new funds and products for different global markets.

As an independent NED for TBFS, Mrs Troup will work with the company’s chairman to oversee assessment of value for each fund managed by the company. She’ll also provide support, advice and an independent perspective to the executive team in the areas of governance, marketing, new business sales and relationship management.

The news follows the recent appointment of Mike Hughes as Chairman just a matter of months before. The two senior appointments have strengthened the board and ensure TBFS adheres to new requirements set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), for firms to have a minimum of two Independent Non-Executive Directors on their fund boards by September 2019.

An Oxford University graduate, Mrs Troup has significant experience in governance roles, is a Chartered Corporate Secretary (ACIS) and a member of ICSA. She’s also a member of the Institute of Directors, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is a qualified commercial mediator.

Like TBFS, Troup works with institutions where reputation is key and most notably continues to be a director of the Boat Race Company Limited, the second largest sporting event in London.

Helen Stevens, TBFS Chief Executive Officer, said: “During her career Anna has proven herself and has an excellent track record. She’s created and led the strategy for generating growth at firms of many different sizes, also adapting processes and policy following the introduction of new regulations. We’re delighted to have her insight and expertise on our board.”

Speaking about her appointment Anna said: “I am excited at the prospect of being involved with a small growing business in the financial services sector, which is still independently owned and which has such a strong stated commitment to client service excellence and satisfaction.”

As well as being a director of the Boat Race Company Limited, Anna is a keen sportswoman who competes in ultra marathons and continues to be involved with rowing as Chair of the Oxford University Women’s Boat Club.
